| Taking CLOZARIL
CLOZARIL therapy usually starts with a low daily dose, which is then slowly increased until the level that works best is found. The healthcare professional will carefully monitor the person's symptoms and the drug's effects, and may change the dosage as often as every day during the first few weeks of treatment. Determining the right dose of CLOZARIL can take as long as 6 to 8 weeks.
Important things to remember about CLOZARIL therapy:
- Follow the healthcare professional's instructions carefully
- Remember to see your healthcare professional regularly for your blood monitoring
- Never take more or less CLOZARIL than prescribed without speaking to your healthcare professional
- If a dose of CLOZARIL is missed or forgotten for more than 2 days, don't start taking it again without first speaking to your healthcare professional
